Monday Musings: Long weekends

Monday, July 15

 • This weekend seems to have gone by in a blur, but at the same time i feel like i've been on a holiday for a week. Isn't it strange how that happens when the sun is out.

• Saturday was spent at the stables with a very hot and sweaty horse who was treated to a bath afterwards, then running around town doing some errands. The sun was beautiful and i didn't put the top on my car the entire day.

• Sunday we took a trip to the beach again. This time Grizzle stayed at home, he was far to hot and it was a little last minute. We all laid on the beach dozing in the sunshine and listening to the waves crashing against the shore. It felt so refreshing to just lay there and listen. There is something about the water that makes me feel so calm.

• This Friday is the boys graduation and i can't wait. It's been four long hard years and i'll be so happy to see him finish it all. I can't imagine what that feels like. I have a few surprises lined up for the big day and my dress is to die for. It's all go from here on out!

  2. I totally agree about the time thing with weekends- they seem both short and endless at the same time! I think it's the long evenings. Congratulation on the graduation, I'm sure you must be so so proud of him!! xx

    1. It must be. Sitting outside until half 9 at night really makes you feel like the day is longer. Thank you, i am immensely proud of what he's done. xx
