Christmas Gift Ideas

Tuesday, November 27

Since Christmas is just around the corner and we are all getting a little excited about the prospects of the big day i thought i would take the conventional boys list, girls list and turn it on it's head a tad. We all want Christmas to be done right so who ever your buying for, i'm sure you can find at least one item that will relate to someone, be it that annoying person who always says 'i don't want anything' or the uncle you only see three times a year but who always sends you something. Lets get started shall we..

The first of December must, must, must start with the opening of the advent calender! I'm lucky and i usually have three. Lucky or greedy, you decide. I just like chocolate! If anyone wants to get me one this one will do me fine.

Who, who, doesn't love Lindt chocolate? I would like to meet the person who doesn't so i can hold them down and force feed them to said person until they agree with me. This one is just £3.99 and features everything iconic about the brand, the reindeer, the santa's and those ever so gorgeous Lindt balls! Some of this may contain Nuts so if your ever so unlucky to have allergies go for something else..

For the Apple Whore..

We all have one close to us don't we, you know, the person who lives by the newest iphone has the ipod, the mac, everything. Well keep them happy with the newest edition. I present the £269, smaller than an ipad but bigger than an iphone, i mean.. the ipad mini

For the candle lover..

Diptyque have brought out a range of holiday candles. This little gift set would be the perfect gift for those who love snuggling under a blanket with the candles burning and the fire roaring. Holiday Coffret £60.00

For the newly weds..

..or for those loved up couples who feed each other in restaurants and subject us to regular PDA's. What's neat about these is they are personalised, and I love a bit of personalisation! £36 from NOTH

For the avid planner, list writer, general busy bee..

For the baking fanatic..

Give them a handy little place to jot all their new recipes down, plus it's personalised! Maybe then they will share their tasty treats with you a whole lot more. The gift that keeps on giving! £9.95 from NOTH

For the pets of your life..

Cambridge Trip

Monday, November 12

On Saturday me & the boy drove down to Cambridge to meet up with his parents for the day. After setting off late, as usual, getting lost twice, as usual, and having to rush through the town to make our reservations, again, we managed to get to Jamie Oliver's Italian in time. With all our rushing about i completely forgot to take a photo of outside the beautiful building, so google get's the credit for the first image.
The restaurant itself is situated in an old library on Wheeler Street and the place is A.MAZING! The architecture is so wonderful, just look at that ceiling.

For starters we ordered a little of everything to pick and try. Most of those things were far to hot for me but i manged to even it out with a lovely selection of bread dipped in olive oil. For my main i had a version of steak salad, no idea how to pronounce it, but the steak was cooked beautifully and arrived on a very large plate.

Since our main objective of visiting Cambridge was for the meal, yes we will drive nearly two hours just to go to a restaurant, the majority of our sight seeing was from the car window, which i hate, the other half was lazily walking around after dark, which i love but my little iphone wasn't up to taking photo's of that.

We did spot this man doing some kind of jiu jitsu/tae kwon do/yoga on the pavement. I have no idea why he was doing it there, he didn't even have anything with him but it was entertaining to watch none the less.

I did manage to get in a few shops before they close, Lush being one of them. The buildings in Cambridge are so amazing & hopefully next time we will get to explore it much more!

N.B Sorry for the iphone photos! I didn't fancy carrying my camera around when we were already on such a whirlwind trip as it was..

How did you spend your weekend?

Instagram Catch Up

Wednesday, November 7

I love taking photo's of what's happening in my life but sometimes my big camera stays at home so my iPhone takes over. Here's what he's been up to. (mis_maneata)

I took a lovely trip into Lincoln the other weekend for Harvest Festival. We wondered around little shops & the market near the Cathedral, stopped off for cups of tea in a charming little bakery & then did a spot of shopping. It was the perfect way to spend an Autumn Saturday.

Me & the boy had a pumpkin carving competition on Halloween, via picture message. I decided to make mine into a girl pumpkin, I think his was better though, just don't tell him i said that!

We got new tiles in our kitchen. Under strict instructions not to walk over the freshly layed tiles Grizzle takes no notice & sits in the middle of them..

I took a road trip to see my ever so lovely friend A over the Humber Bridge, this was the morning after. The sun was shining, my roof was down and i had a thermos the size of my head to keep my hangover at bay!

Rainy evenings are all about snuggling in bed with some candles, fairy lights, fluffy socks and your favourite show on the box.

Being silly with my Halloween Stiletto nails & red lipstick. Eyelashes are Ardell Lashes in 105

Grizzle just loves me when i dress him up for Halloween..this year he went as catdogman.

Pineapple hair.. reminding me of Spongebobs house.

Took Grizzle for an afternoon walk. Spent all the time trying to get a photo of him on my fancy camera, which didn't include him running around or cocking his leg. Camera dies. He finally comes straight over to me & sits like this. Typical.

The other night my tanning mitt evaporated in my hand mid way through my tan. I wrapped up & headed to Tesco, with no makeup on & one tanned arm! After moving my car three times, twice i parked in disabled spots and i couldn't risk it, i practically ran to the beauty isle to find...No mitts! Luckily a lovely lady was stacking the shelves & i ask if she had any to put out, she didn't but went to the back to find me one. She arrived 5 minutes later with three because she wasn't sure which colour i wanted! What an Angel

My very favourite Sex & the City scene.
"Your girl is lovely Hubble" "I don't get it?" "& you never did.."
"..then i realised maybe it was Big who couldn't break me...Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed, maybe they need to run free until they find someone just as wild to run with"

I've decided to make some major changes to how this blog is so i hope you all stick by me a little until i work out the in's & out's of it. This blog will now be much more of a lifestyle blog than it was before & soon the name will be changing. Since i have so many giveaways that i've entered i'm going to wait until they all run there course until i make final changes so as not to confuse anyone. Keep checking back for more details.
